How we verify every clinic

Anyone can list an ADHD clinic in a directory. We go a step further: every clinic on ADHD Compare has its regulatory registration checked directly against the regulator's own public register — the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for England, Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS), Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), or the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) for Northern Ireland — rather than taking a clinic's word for it.

We don't guess a registration number from a name match. Where a clinic doesn't publish its number, we check the regulator's register directly, and if we can't confirm a match with confidence, we leave the field blank rather than risk attributing the wrong registration to the wrong business.
